| TUESDAY, APRIL 17 | Jennifer Marine http://www.noonesthebitch.com |
Blog: http://www.noonesthebitch.com Austin, Texas |
|||||||
| Jennifer Newcomb Marine is a mother and freelance writer and Carol Marine is a stepmother and oil-based painter ( http://carolmarine.blogspot.com). While the blog is written by Newcomb Marine, the content is the result of their mother/stepmother collaboration. The purpose of No One's the Bitch is to strengthen ties between mothers and stepmothers and ultimately create a stronger extended-family unit. Readers will find message boards, a discussion of the typical challenges faced by women in this situation and a summary of their nonfiction book proposal. Jennifer and I will focus on using Ten Zen Seconds as a tool for mothers and stepmothers to lean on in the heat of the moment. While this relationship is traditionally considered to be helplessly antagonistic, it doesn't have to be. We'll be talking about ways to use TZS to cultivate centeredness, calm and positive results while navigating issues of anger, territoriality, guilt, jealousy and despair. |

Life is an adventure for this Southern girl transplanted to the Midwest. One day's entry might be about a tea party and the next about being alone in an ancient tomb in the Egyptian desert. Patsy shares stories of the 100-year-old house she is redoing, photos of her vintage collections, and her philosophy of life, which can be summed up with, "Blame nothing, forgive everything, remain grateful." Patsy and I will be chatting about how people can use the Ten Zen Seconds technique to improve their general happiness level. |
